Derrière l'œuvre d'art

An egg beneath heat, rain falling around it without stopping. “Normally we think an egg needs warmth to hatch,” Lama says, “but it just keeps raining.” The piece reads impermanence as a state of stagnation, and stagnation, she's quick to add, is itself impermanent. “It's something I like to remind myself of, constantly.” The image arrived whole, fully formed in her mind, in the days just before she left Lebanon for Canada.

À propos de l'artiste

Lama

Lama is an explorer of the ephemeral, deeply inspired by the organic fluidity and constant motion found in nature. Captivated by impermanent states and the quiet evolution of the living world, her creative practice refuses to stand still.

Instead of confining herself to a single medium, her expression flows effortlessly across design, graphics, movement, and music, like different currents in the same river. Her process mimics the natural systems she admires: intuitive, evolving, and beautifully unforced. Ultimately, Lama’s work invites us to embrace the beauty of the temporary, existing in a state of continuous, harmonious transition.
