The title is Egyptian slang, roughly meaning lazy, or someone just sitting there doing nothing. “It's about that specific stretch of time when you're not gentle with yourself at all,” he says. “You're fighting yourself, tearing yourself down, telling yourself you're not good enough, that you're lazy, that you should have done this and you didn't. That your life would be better if you had. That feeling comes to me at night sometimes.” The piece holds two internal voices, one tearing him down, the other, quieter, saying take it easy on yourself.
