Born straight out of Ahmad's own struggle with procrastination. "You don't need to study first, or read first, or have the right tools first," he says. "You just need to start. Your first attempt will be bad, but at least you'll have started." You don't need the clock to hit a round number to start. You can start at 3:50 just as easily as at four. "If you keep procrastinating, you'll procrastinate forever. By the time you feel ready, you'll be old." The piece is built on that joke, turned serious: readiness is a myth you can wait on forever, so the only real starting point is now.
